ALPHARD BLACK: 10 January, 1942

Dear Albert Dear Mr. Deschamps,

It was a pleasure meeting with you last month. I appreciated your taking the time to show me your exquisite incredibly talented work.

My friend Michelle Higgins has informed me that the two paintings I purchased from you have arrived in perfect condition and I expect you have received the payment as agreed.

I'd like to see you again Can we meet I shall be in London in the next month or so and, should you have a few minutes, I would like to talk to you a little more about the pieces I purchased from you.

As usual, you can send your response to this letter to Michelle Higgins's address. She'll forward it to me.
